Our Commitment To Sustainability
As a group we have invested in solar, wind & revolutionary heatpump technology. At our new Gateshead based home we are home to the largest heat pump of its’ kind in Europe. Making use of the mines below to keep everywhere from our wine storage unit, to our offices at the best possible temperature.
A Business With A Story
Having opened our doors in February of 1926, we started our journey on Stade Street in Hythe, Kent. Percy Spicer opened the doors of his grocery & provision store, providing everything from Bovril to biscuits, the Spicers of Hythe story has grown into the huge operation you see today.
